I've been a makeup artist for over 20 years, but my mother will say I started when I was 6. I've always had a fascination with faces, and ripping apart her vogue and bazaar magazines when I was six probably didn't help either! Just the idea of creating beauty.... has always fascinated me.

I'm a Professional Makeup Artist that is based on the Mississippi Gulf Coast near New Orleans. I am a freelance makeup artist now at a local salon. We lost everything in Hurricane Katrina and moved to the country and I am now enjoying the passion I have again in my life as being a Makeup Artist. What I am best at. I am married with no children as of yet and I have a beautiful little shih tzu. He is my twin, I love my little doggy. My goal is to brand myself all over again but this time all over the world not just here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast near New Orleans but worldwide reaching out through the internet to real women just like you. So with you spreading the word we can let women everywhere know about Senegence Cosmetics. What turned me on to Senegence 4 years ago is that it did not come off. In our humidity and climate here in Mississippi we sweat when we step out the door, and believe me I have never had a makeup that truly stays on. And the foundation does not require powder so you never get oily thoughout the day or feel that cakey thick gritty feeling. When my mom, who has been a hairstylist for 20 years, turned me on to this makeup, I looked at her like she was crazy thinking this was just another makeup that does not stand up to what it promises. Well to much of my amazement no matter what I did the makeup did not come off till I washed it off! I was astounded - I could not believe the results. This makeup is definitely worth every penny and it is spreading by word of mouth quickly. When I put the makeup on one client in the salon last Saturday I saw tears pile up in her eyes and she said how have I not lived my whole life with out this makeup. It is the cosmetic line that you will kick yourself for not finding out about it sooner. SO IF WE MOVE FAST! We can let everyone know about this makeup! Why spend money on makeup that is going to come off? What my thoughts are right now- I Guess I have to do something while I still have my youth...right:))) Especially since makeup is my passion! And Senegence is my last stop destination to finally find the right makeup!

There's never been another career choice for me. I've also trained other makeup artists and clients as well, which I love. And I've worked in salons as a makeup artist/facialist, and waxing services. But my first love has and always be being a makeup artist for my clients with their weddings, and proms/homecomings or beach makeup for photographs.

Some people ask me what is the downside of being a makeup artist is -sometimes sadly it's the people you have to work with that is the hardest part of your job as a makeup artist- at least that is what I have heard from my friends. If someone's rude or obnoxious. Some people are just miserable. And misery loves company. You just get through the day and thinking you can't wait to get home is what my fellow makeup artists say. That's usually just it. Or some of my friends say maybe a difficult call time if it's early and you're exhausted and you have to rush home to cook supper or tend to your home... It can be over whelming sometimes as a makeup artist and pleasing people. I am lucky though! I don't have to deal with the negative aspects of working in a salon because I work with my mom and she is my best friend, and my grandmother works with us too. I am truly blessed to have such a good family. There are definite benefits in working with your mom. :=)

Practice, practice, practice makes you perfect. It may be an industry where it is all about who you know, but that only gets you in the door once. It doesn't keep you there. Talent is what gets you the client or photographer or the magazine to hire you over and over. It's always talent that gives you the work. There are a lot of bad makeup artists out there, more good ones, but very very few amazing ones. The goal is to be one of the amazing ones. Those are the ones that work every single day. Practice on your technique, know it inside and out and really understand what it is you need to do to fix a mistake and make your application time be only 30-40 minutes. Be fast, be professional, be amazing.

You will feel so refreshed and renewed with this makeup! The makeup will make you feel good on the inside and look good on the outside. Someone told me you look more and more beautiful everyday.
